Calders’ Partners have a full complement of financial skills. Each Partner also has special interests and expertise in particular branches of accountancy, audit and tax, giving the firm an impressive breadth of experience across the broad ambit of the profession.

Most of the team have been with Calders for many years, establishing long-standing respected relationships with both clients and each other.

Meet the partners

Philip Ewen FCA, CTA

Philip has been Senior Partner at Calders since March 2000. Philip trained with Calders in the late 1970s and following qualification as a Chartered Accountant in  1982 he left to gain experience in a larger accountancy practice for a couple of years before returning to Calders as a Partner in 1985.

Like all Calders’ Partners, he is a general practitioner looking after the needs of a large and wide range of business and personal clients. He is also qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser.

David Gallagher FCA

David trained at Calders before moving to BDO in the mid 1980s returning as a Partner in 1987. He was appointed Managing Partner in 2000. He looks after a large and varied range of corporate and personal clients of all sizes providing audit, accounting, VAT, corporate and personal tax advice and other related financial services.

His passions outside work include playing competitive golf and watching football and as a season ticket holder can be found most other weekends at the Emirates Stadium in North London.

David Lyon FCA

David Lyon is a general practitioner advising clients on corporate and personal taxation. He has considerable experience having trained at Calders and has been a Partner since 1989. He has a diverse range of clients to whom he provides a personal and approachable service.

He enjoys literature and foreign cinema as well as travelling and cycling.

Ian Rosmarin FCA

After qualifying with a medium sized firm in 1976, Ian spent 3 years at Ernst & Young’s London office specialising in audit. He went on to gain industry experience as a finance director before returning to the profession in 1987. After practising for 15 years in partnership as Ind & Rosmarin, Ian merged the Pimlico based firm with Calders in 2002.

His broad experience is reflected in the wide range of work he undertakes for both UK and overseas based corporate and personal clients.

Tony Badiani FCA

Tony joined Calders in 1996 after qualifying with a small sized firm and was appointed Partner in 2002. He is a general practitioner acting for a variety of personal and corporate clients. He is the firm’s audit and DPB business compliance principal/partner. Tony is a personable and approachable member of the Calders’ team who enjoys a professional and friendly relationship with his clients.

His main interests outside work include travel, is a self-proclaimed film buff, enjoys live music and is a keen follower of most sports.

Jennifer Davis CTA, ACA, FCCA

Jenni joined Calders in 2006 as a part qualified accountant, working primarily alongside Ian. Since then she has completed her training with the ACCA, been admitted as a member of the ICAEW and qualified as a chartered tax advisor. Having built a solid foundation of experience across a broad range of sectors and a number of strong client relationships, Jenni was appointed a partner in 2017. In addition to being a general practitioner, she has a particular specialism in online accounting software and provides training, advice and support to clients looking to implement these systems.
